Ground Rules

We know you’re here for a good time and we want you to feel right at home.

Our ground rules are designed to keep everyone safe and help make The Red Dirt Escape a great place to stay.

Fire Pit

  • The fire pit is for your leisure.  Firewood can be purchased from roadside stands or Butlers Genera Store in Murray Harbour

  • Please check burning regulations here before burning

  • Please ensure fire is out before you leave.

  • Please clean up after each use.

Septic system

  • We are on septic which means it’s sensitive.  You may notice the discolouration of water, this is due to iron or manganese which is common in rural areas, this can give water a brown, rusty tint.

  • Please only flush small amounts of toilet paper.  If just a tinkle, we recommend wiping and placing in garbage. We also do not have garbage disposals so please no food or grease down drains.  Your cooperation helps us keep everything running smoothly!

 Lights, & heat pumps

  • We ask that you please turn down the heat and/or Air Conditioning when you leave the property and when you go to bed
