1. North Cape
The iconic North Cape, where the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Atlantic Ocean meet, is a must-see destination. Famous for its Wind Energy Institute and the North Cape Lighthouse, this area is perfect for those looking to experience rugged coastlines, unique coastal features, and some of the best views in PEI.

  • The reef is one of the favourite attractions at North Cape – visitors can walk out onto the reef at low tide, exploring the tidal pools, watching the gulls and enjoying the seals relaxing in the sheltered waters. When the tides rise, watch for the “meeting of the waters” as the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Northumberland Strait come crashing together.

  • Tip from a local: Don't miss the Walking Trail and the Interpretive Centre to learn about the region's history and ecology.
